Growing and birthing a baby takes its toll on any woman. Many new mums are keen to return to exercise as soon as possible but before you return to high impact activities you should spend some time focusing on reconnecting with your core and bringing your posture back into alignment to prevent injury and potential for pelvic floor or core issues. I teach postnatal exercise that is FUNCTIONAL and FIT FOR PURPOSE for the life you lead and prepares your body. You need to be able to MOVE WELL and stay STRONG in order to be mum and look after your little one.
In my small group class for mum and baby (suitable from 6+ weeks) we cover a mix of posture and breath re-education, traditional Pilates, gentle pelvic floor friendly cardio and modern concentrated pelvic floor and core exercises to support your postnatal recovery.
This is a postnatal class that helps you to recover following pregnancy and birth. The focus is on your pelvic floor and core, but will also improve your overall fitness. During the class we do modern and functional pelvic floor exercises and follow common MOTHERHOOD MOVEMENT PATTERNS to keep you strong for the life you lead.
With everyone at different stages in their postnatal recovery, I provide lots of modifications and progressions so that you are able to work at the level that suits where you are at. Each class starts and ends with some delicious releases and mobilisations to work on those tight, restricted muscles that may be causing you discomfort.
Babies and young children are welcome to come along to the class but remain your responsibility at all times. Your child is the boss, so if your baby needs to be fed, changed or cuddled please do take a break to attend to their needs. Babies will NEVER be used as a weight!!!
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. You will need to complete a thorough online pre-screen before you can attend a class. You will be sent a link to the pre-screen once you have booked. Please feel free to contact me before booking to check your suitability. This class is for women who are 6+ weeks if you birthed vaginally or 10-12+ weeks if you birthed via c-section.

Can't make the group class? I understand that attending a class can sometimes be difficult, so you have the option of booking private 1-2-1 sessions at a more convenient time, in the comfort of your own home.
