pregnancy EXERCISE

As you grow a baby, you need to take care of yourself and look after your body.  You need to be able to move well and stay strong in order to prepare for the later stages of pregnancy, labour and the early weeks and months as a new mum.  I teach pregnancy exercise that is FUNCTIONAL and FIT FOR PURPOSE for the life you lead and PREPARES your body for later stages of pregnancy, labour, childbirth and beyond into motherhood. 

 

My pregnancy class helps you maintain your fitness and look after your body during pregnancy.  The focus is on your pelvic floor and core but will also look after your overall fitness. During the class we do modern and functional pelvic floor exercises and follow common MOTHERHOOD MOVEMENT PATTERNS to keep you strong throughout your pregnancy and into motherhood.


With lots of modifications and progressions available, it doesn't matter if you are already super fit or completely new to exercise, this class is suitable for all and you will be able to work at your own level.  A small group class, incorporating pregnancy safe and pelvic floor friendly cardio, concentrated pelvic floor and core exercises as well as elements of traditional Pilates, for a global and functional workout to support your through your pregnancy.  


Each class starts and ends with some delicious releases and mobilisations to work on those tight, restricted muscles that may be causing you discomfort. The aim is to keep you healthy and moving well, right up until baby arrives (and beyond).


BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.  You will need to complete a thorough online pre-screen before you can attend a class.  You will be sent a link to the pre-screen once you have booked.  Please feel free to contact me before booking to check your suitability.  This class is for women in second and third trimester only.

Want a more personal touch?  Can't make the group class?  I understand that classes are not for everyone and evenings can sometimes be difficult when your pregnant, particularly if you already have a little one.  I offer 1-2-1 Exercise Coaching sessions in the comfort of your own home, garden or online
